Celebration Jamaica and Harmony Cove to Break Ground on Casino Resorts by Summer
Construction work with just what will be Jamaica’s first integrated casino resort is expected to begin in 2016, neighborhood news reported. Celebration Jamaica Resort & Casino will feature 2,000 resort rooms, a casino, and a range entertainment and meals and beverage choices.
The complex will occupy a 75-acre parcel of land situated in Rose Hill, into the Montego Bay Area. The project will be rolled away in many phases. The amount of $500 million is anticipated to be used on the completion of Phase 1.
At first, the resort shall offer 1,000 resort rooms, with 1,000 more to be added afterwards. So when mentioned previously, it will also feature a 100,000-square-foot gambling place with casino games and sports betting options, retail area, a Caribbean World Music Entertainment specialized, and a great many other amenities.
Businessman Robert Trotta, that is behind the multi-million-dollar project, explained that the integrated resort will aim at celebrating Jamaican music and everything Jamaican. The entire complex is likely to cost $1.8 billion and once completely functional, it’s going to employ as much as 12,000 individuals straight. No completion date was established yet for Jamaica’s first resort that is integrated.
A year ago, Jamaica officials authorized the growth of two such integrated resorts Celebration Jamaica and Harmony Cove. Construction regarding the latter is also likely to start by the summertime of 2016.
